Adjunct Instructor School Psychology, Graduate Level - Phoenix, AZ

If you are interested in teaching in a university setting, it can be helpful to gain experience as an adjunct instructor. Many of our adjunct instructors hold a full-time career elsewhere, and choose to teach in our evening, weekend, and online programs so that they may have the opportunity to teach students. Adjunct Instructors are hired to teach on a per course basis. Each academic term may present the need to hire new or additional adjunct instructors. 

Ottawa University employs adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate/graduate level coursework for its adult campuses in 8 week undergraduate and graduate terms.

Ottawa University Phoenix, Arizona is actively seeking adjunct instructors for the Master of Arts in Education School Psychology program for the upcoming academic year. Adjunct faculty candidates must meet the required University academic and professional preparation requirements. Adjunct faculty must possess theoretical and application knowledge related to the topics being taught and must be able to demonstrate they can effectively teach this knowledge.

Required Qualifications:

  • Earned Doctorate degree in School Psychology or closely related field
  • Academic and professional teaching experience within the content area (i.e. Assessment, Consultation, Theories of Learning, Child Development, and/or Behavioral Methods courses).
  • Experience with Zoom, Skype, or WebEx.
  • Experience with Blackboard or other similar online course platforms.
  • Licensed Psychologist or Certified School Psychologist eligible to practice in the state of Arizona.
